A little post summer garden update! 👩‍🌾Roman was a BIG help today pulling old plants and weeds in preparation for our fall garden! I haven’t planted a fall garden in several years because I’m usually over watering and the heat, but we’re going to give it a go this year!

Hen Highlight: Oreo, my 7 year old OG chicken. She is head hen around here! It’s been years since she has laid an egg, but I love her presence on our farm! If you look closely, her feet are swollen and aged. She has gray hair around her face. She walks with a slight limp from being rolled over by Shadow many years ago. Most people would have culled her by now, but we’re animal lovers first, and farmers second. ❤️

The boys experienced the big field for the first time this morning! I think it’s safe to say they’re enjoying it!! Happy Saturday, friends!
