Do you know FURORE and its Fjord?

First, a fjord is a deep and long, narrow body of water that flows far inland.

In 1997, the small town of Furore was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most beautiful and quaint places in Italy. The name Furore comes from Latin meaning Terra Furoris (Land of Fury) as the waves crashing off the cliffs created a deafening sound.
There is a tall picturesque bridge (the one painted on our jug) that looks down on the Fiordo and the small rocky Fiordo di Furore beach at the end of some steep steps. This is one of the most fun places to go swimming on the Amalfi Coast as the water is incredibly blue and there are a lot of great spots to jump into the deep water. Fiordo di Furore Beach is small so if you want to visit, we would recommend going early.

Today, we'll travel to Positano...
Positano is a cliffside village on southern Italy's Amalfi Coast. It's a well-known holiday destination with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes. Its Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta (the one that you see on our ceramic bottle) features a majolica-tiled dome and a 13th-century Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary. The Sentiero degli Dei hiking trail links Positano to other coastal towns. Enjoy!

Beautiful Amalfi Coast

Walking along Viale dei Pini, one of the main streets of Sant’Agnello, a small town on the Sorrento Coast, almost at its end, the eye catches a glimpse of a spectacular panorama due to the presence of a very narrow inlet within which, interspersed with each other, a series of rocks emerge, almost compressed by the imposing nature of the two rocky walls rising from the blue sea. 🌊✨

Golfo del Pecoriello, a wonderful corner of wild nature dominated by the splendid villa that was once the home of the American writer Francis Marion Crawford, who chose to live in Sant'Agnello and where he still rests today. ✒

The donkey of Vietri is the symbol of the city and, more generally, of the entire history of the people of the Amalfi Coast. ☀🌊

Thanks to its gentle nature, extraordinary carrying capacity, and physical endurance, it was the perfect animal to assist the coastal residents in transportation. 💪

In 1923, Richard Dölker was fascinated by the continuous presence of donkeys in all the coastal towns and he decided to pay tribute to the animal by transforming it into a sculpture made of colorful ceramic, with an unusual aqua green color reminiscent of the sea of Vietri. 💦✨

He made the donkey a characteristic presence in his entire artistic production and in the whole ceramic one of the territory. 💁‍♂️
