It’s easy to get caught up in the endless ads for supplements, promising quick fixes for health and performance. 💊 However— supplements aren’t the foundation of success.

The truth? Dialing in your nutrition is where it all begins. 🥦🍳
And that’s the hardest part for most of us. It’s not about popping pills or powders — it’s about having the self-love, discipline, and consistency to fuel your body with the right foods day in and day out.

This is what separates the top 1% of athletes from the rest.
Supplements can give you that extra edge, but they’re only a layer on top of a solid foundation.

Before you spend hundreds (or thousands) on the latest and greatest supplements, get your bloodwork done!!!! Find out what your body actually needs, and focus on dialing in your nutrition first.

Health isn’t a quick fix — it’s a lifestyle. 🧩

We’re a culture obsessed with food—and let’s be real, it’s easy to get caught up in it. But when we’re on a “diet,” we become hyper-focused on what we can’t have, and that mindset? It’s exhausting.

So, let’s flip the script. What else makes you happy? Shopping, meditation, swimming, sightseeing, photography? Think about the joy that comes from being healthy and able-bodied: the energy to move, explore, and actually enjoy life.

Food is great, but it’s not the only thing that brings happiness. What’s something that lights you up outside of eating? Let me know in the comments.

Pretty impressed with Walmart.com lately—they’ve got pages that direct you right to the healthy staples you need to crush your goals. While you’re at it, don’t forget meal prep containers and a good insulated bag.

I’ve been using the 6 Pack Fitness bags, and they’re awesome for staying organized on busy days. The containers are perfect for me, but Steve had to swap them out for bigger ones to fit his portions.

Also, fun news: I’m launching a crash course in meal prep and planning in the new year. If you’ve been wanting to level up your kitchen game, let me know!

💛 Is your partner’s love language Acts of Service?

Imagine how many brownie points you’ll rack up by prepping some overnight oats for them ahead of time—especially if their mornings are always a whirlwind.

Not only is this a thoughtful way to show your love, but it’s also an easy, nutritious, and delicious way to start their day. The best part? You can customize it in so many ways! Here’s my simple yet satisfying recipe to get you started:

Protein-Packed Overnight Oats
Ingredients:

½ cup rolled oats
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional for an extra boost)
¾ cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
½ banana, sliced (or substitute with ¼ cup blueberries)
1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions:

In a mason jar or container, combine oats, protein powder, cinnamon, and chia seeds.
Pour in the almond milk and mix well until all dry ingredients are combined.
Top with banana slices or blueberries and drizzle with honey/maple syrup if desired.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, stir and enjoy straight from the jar or warm it up for a cozy twist!
Your partner will appreciate the effort and start their day feeling loved—and fueled. 💪

🌟 Santa’s not the only one watching! 🌟

Our little ones are always watching and learning from us—whether we realize it or not. I’m incredibly blessed that my daughter not only embraces healthy eating but takes pride in it, too. She enjoys a broad range of foods and understands the role of proteins, fats, and carbs in fueling her body—lessons we started early to build a foundation of balance and wholesome choices.

We never want to demonize food, but we do want to encourage her to enjoy all things in moderation and appreciate how good it feels to nourish our bodies. Watching her thrive, experiment with new flavors, and develop her own love for healthy living fills my heart with gratitude. 💚

“Control Your Controllables”

A friend recently asked me about my grocery routine and how I manage quality when it comes to meat and food. Honestly? We’ve all heard the noise—fearmongering about toxins, non-organic, or non-GMO foods being “bad” or “wrong.” But let’s be real: not all of us can afford to shop at Whole Foods every week. And that’s okay.

As a busy mom, I shop where it fits my schedule and budget—places like Walmart or Aldi. Occasionally, I’ll treat myself to a high-end meat counter. The key isn’t perfection; it’s making thoughtful, consistent choices. We can’t control everything, but we can decide how often we choose whole, nutrient-dense foods over ultra-processed options.

Don’t have a lot of time? Neither do I! This meal took me about 10 minutes, including prepping extras for later:
🍗 4oz lean turkey
🍚 1/4 cup jasmine rice with a splash of soy sauce
🥦 1/2 cup of veggies

Simple. Nourishing. Practical. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being intentional. ✨
