Go SALTY SOUTHERN at Hog Island Fish Camp - Bar & Restaurant! A favorite for fresh local seafood with a Southern vibe, in the heart of Dunedin, 900 Broadway, near Old Clearwater Bay...and when sun sets over Hog Island, it's easy to feel the rustic vibe that harkens back to the 'good ole days', where family time included learning to cast, catch, & fry it up for dinner.
Took two paws for TFL to handle the awesome hogfish sandwich! Other faves are shrimp & grits, crab cakes, snapper & grouper.
TFL will have to try Blue Crab & Goat Cheese Dip on her next visit.
Happy hour 2-6 pm daily, Mussel Monday-all you can eat 6-9 pm, trivia night Wednesday 6:30, bottomless Bloody Mary's & Mimosas Sat. & Sun. 11 am-2 pm.

Bar fly is one of the best things about Safety Harbor. The menu offers great variety--unique, fresh, always delicious.
Service beyond the ordinary: Alan represents the friendly, fun personality TFL always finds here.
The bowl he's holding shows what TFL had already devoured; the nice shot with shrimp & flower is what it looked like when actually served!
Barfly is a go-to for locals & visitors...so many memories here. 😘🦁

The Food Lioness is about more than food: she’s about the people who provide & the places where we gather to make memories.
Food fills more than our bellies: what matters most are the people, gardens, farms, & kitchens that nourish & entertain us.
From Grandma’s kitchen table, lunch boxes, movie popcorn, munchies, restaurants, pubs, bakeries, food trucks, campsite S’mores…we remember flashbacks to feelings long after the food.
Plus there's an abundance of pleasure & kindness to be shared.
Stories of recovery & rebuilding from Hurricane Hell of 2024 evidence resilience & heart overcame shambles of destruction. Stories of survival can be every bit as magical as fairy tales.
The Food Lioness will continue to seek them out. Thanks to everyone who is along for the adventure!

Sandy served TFL scrumptious smoked salmon with whipped cream cheese, tomato, cucumber & dill on ciabatta toast.
Thanks to AMI Drink & Dine Passport your sandwich gives you a free drip coffee or shot of espresso.
This popular spot opened in August 2025 but feels like it's been part of the charm of Anna Maria Island forever. Savor the flavors & the scenery!

Gourmet cuisine in a strip shopping center? Don't be fooled by appearances or you'll miss The Feast Restaurant, one of the best dining experiences on Anna Maria Island!
As Beverage Manager Benjamin Quillen says, "with a view like this, the food better be good!"
Upscale casual island-style featuring prime steaks & seafood, unique appetizers, salads, homemade pasta, micro brew beers, world class wines & craft cocktails almost too pretty to drink. Mr. Benjamin promises "not just the best old-fashioned on the island--the best on the globe!"
Thanks to AMI Drink & Dine Passport TFL sipped a free glass of chardonnay while experiencing S'mores Cheesecake created by Chef Jacob Powers: infused with toasted marshmallow, topped with chocolate ganache, Swiss meringue & toasted Graham crackers: a feast in itself.
Fine dining in a friendly atmosphere-TFL was delighted to meet Kathy & Vic Caserta (Seafood Trio selection pictured) Deeply committed to protecting island wildlife, these locals had just helped rescue an osprey trapped in a tree, releasing him back to the wild after recovering at AMI's Wildlife Rescue.
Local & exotic cuisine--daily specials, indoor, outdoor, takeout or delivery. Family-owned & operated since 2009.
Lots of pride here at 5406 Marina Drive, North Holmes Beach...for very good reasons.

Always a pleasure to visit Carrabba's Italian Grill! TFL loves the mini-charcuterie atop her chardonnay.
Extra special treat meeting Jon & Sheila while they enjoyed appetizer trio of calamari, mozzarella marinara, & bruschette caprese...reminding them of their second home in Tuscany!
Cub Kayla served TFL house salad of romaine with carrots, shredded red cabbage, pepperoncini peppers, & kalamata olives, with delicious creamy Parmesan-garlic dressing.
