We had an AWESOME day in Corunna today at the Saginaw Valley RCBA Double Show! Harlequins were the top 3rd Open breed with 50 rabbits per show!! We came in 3rd behind Rex and Netherland Dwarves. So many Harlies and good friends around made for a great day!

Box 4 out of 5!

These are 10 Blue Plymouth Rock pullets! We haven't had this breed before and they are considered a "Premium Pullet" and were probably the most expensive (regular price) of all the birds I got.

Box 3 out of 5!

This box has 5 White Leghorn pullets and 5 Mystic Maran Straight Runs! We haven't had either of these breeds before. I got Straight run instead of adding additional pullets because the roosters we get will go into our freezer. Whole chicken for a buck! Score!

This is 5 Black Australorp pullets and 5 Isa Brown pullets!

We have had Australorps before and we still have some of our current hens that were hatched by them. I have 1 Isa Brown hen now that I traded for a rabbit last summer (traded for 3 but we lost 2). We are excited for more big Brown eggs!

So 6 ducks and 10 pullets. 16 out of 40 with 3 boxes left!

Another show done! We went to the first Summer Kickoff TRIPLE Show in Saline, MI. It was run by the MI OH State Line RBA, same club that runs the Frankenmuth Christmas Show.

It was a VERY small venue, too small. But the show was still run well and went smoothly with us being done in all 3 shows by 2:30pm. We only took Harlequins this time.

Only 1 box out of 5 but a little sneak peek!

We got DUCKS! D-U-C-Ucks! These are our first ducks. We got 6, straight run. They said Swedish Blacks but the lighter color ones might be something else.

Our local TSC has a scheduled power outage on the 6th (today) and they were not supposed to receive a new batch of chicks/ducks/etc until AFTER the power outage was over. Well.......morning of the 5th (yesterday) and guess what? They got a delivery! So they said that EVERY chick/duckling/etc was a DOLLAR each! No exceptions! My mom found out when she was there and immediately called me. We got 40 birds total and I show the rest in another post but 6 of those, are ducks! We are very excited about them!
