It was a busy week and most of it was homework, weeding and more weeding. And running from wasps hiding in the weeds. There was shrieking (me) and a couple bites (wasps) that was happening and I can safely say wasps are the scourge of the 2026 farm. Meanwhile here is the first decent harvest of 6 varieties of tomatoes and some beans that I forget the name of. And some lavender essential oil being made.

The Fort Laramie Strawberries are still producing, much to my fruit craving happiness. It’s been a hot summer and I thought they were all tapped out. I was wrong and enjoyed a strawberry snack today.

The first of the farm Elderberries were ready to be harvested today. Right now we only have three bushes producing berries but hopefully over the next few years we will have over 20 bushes.

My favorite store in Northeastern Arizona has a new home! Health Touch was previously up in the JC Penney Shopping Center in Show Low.

They are now in the cute set of stores just before the shopping center on the same side of the road as the hospital. Stop by and see them!

Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa) hydrosol being distilled on the farm brings me back to my forester days. The smell brought back memories of walking in the forest and just enjoying the sounds around me.
Ponderosa is a native tree in Arizona that can be found all the way up into Canada. It is a yellow pine that is used or home to many wildlife species. It also has a long history of enthobotanical use.
Ponderosa pine hydrosol is known to be comforting, purifying and cleansing.
