I pray I can influence you to dive deep into his word, because it really is the greatest love story ever written!

I’ve had so many inquiries about Christmas porch sessions this year, and I’m excited to say they’re coming back. 🎄

This year there will be two simple, traditional Southern Christmas setups—one on the front porch and one on the back—and both are included with your booking.

I think we’ve forgotten what a normal life looks like.

Social media has convinced us that every home should be spotless, every meal should be beautiful, every mom should look put together, and every day should feel exciting.

But that’s not real life.

Real life is messy counters and beautiful gardens that take years to grow. It’s building a home one slow project at a time. It’s dirt under your fingernails and a table covered in potting soil.

It’s gathering around the table with friends to play cards instead of everyone staring at a screen.

It’s homemade meals that aren’t fancy, but they’re made with love.

It’s finding the best almond croissant you’ve ever tasted and slowing down long enough to enjoy every bite. It’s stopping to literally smell the roses.

Real things take time.

Strong marriages. Deep friendships. Gardens. Homes. Raising children. A meaningful life. None of them happen overnight, and none of them were ever meant to.

Maybe the life we’re all searching for isn’t found in chasing the next thing. Maybe it’s been here all along, waiting for us to slow down enough to notice.

On the eve of Americas 250th birthday.

Living slow, and intentional. Home cooked meal, fresh herbs from my tiny herb garden on the porch.

Slow evening walk around the holler with two out of four of our kids. Sweet animal loves.

These are the days I prayed so hard for. Never taking this for granted. There is so much beauty and joy all around. Just open your eyes. Soak it in.

Real, simple life… Nothing staged, no fake setups or posed people. Nothing to try and sell you. Just a quick stroll around the holler this evening while the baby sleeps. Thanking God for this amazing life and this beautiful piece of heaven he’s blessed us with.

We’ve worked for years here and you can finally start to see it all come together. Still a lot to do and finish, but it’s all worth it. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. 🇺🇸
