Finished the new poultry barn. moved in 9 BCM pullets, 6 Cream Legbar pullets and 12 guineas all of them are 4-5 months old...I will give them a couple of weeks to get used to their new home and I will start letting them out to free range. I also have two 5 month old BCM roosters from different lines than the pullets, coming tomorrow that I will be adding. this will allow me to breed pure BCM's and MarsBars here. Once they start free ranging I have enough roost space for approx. 50 birds...The bottom of the L shaped shelf is divided into 2 boxes, one 4'x10'x3' tall and one 4'x12'x3' tall to be used for brooder/growouts. I still have my 2 pens at the front of the property for my pure Cream Legbars, one breeding pen and one growout pen. sometime over the Fall/Winter I want to move these back closer to the barn.

picked up a compact backhoe attachment for my little tractor. It has been pouring down rain all morning....had to pick up trailer from uhaul...then go get the backhoe, luckily the guy I bought it from had the right equipment to load it fairly quickly but I still got soaked to the bone. It was worth it though. God shined on me today. couldnt believe my eyes when I seen it. it looks brand new no scratches even. the bucket has a little wear on the paint but paint hasnt rubbed off yet....and I was able to get it for less than half of what one in average condition would sell for.
