Finished the new poultry barn. moved in 9 BCM pullets, 6 Cream Legbar pullets and 12 guineas all of them are 4-5 months old...I will give them a couple of weeks to get used to their new home and I will start letting them out to free range. I also have two 5 month old BCM roosters from different lines than the pullets, coming tomorrow that I will be adding. this will allow me to breed pure BCM's and MarsBars here. Once they start free ranging I have enough roost space for approx. 50 birds...The bottom of the L shaped shelf is divided into 2 boxes, one 4'x10'x3' tall and one 4'x12'x3' tall to be used for brooder/growouts. I still have my 2 pens at the front of the property for my pure Cream Legbars, one breeding pen and one growout pen. sometime over the Fall/Winter I want to move these back closer to the barn.

Just now in the Oval Office of the White House, country artist John Rich was sworn in as Special Envoy for American Landowners. Watch Rich take the oath as an advocate for American farmers, and see more on the new role President Trump appointed him to, at the link in the first comment.
