GOOD MORNING! 😀🐷🩵

Rowan has a new favorite on the farm. He spent his morning taking care of Clyde while i did the rest of the chores. He was busy having all kinds of conversations with him then asked me to take his picture. We are grateful to have such a friendly boar here for our ladies.

DUCKS 🦆

Is anyone interested in ducks? I have decided to go ahead and find a home for my duck flock i have 19 of them i believe. I have decided to start over in the future once we are settled again. Most of them are Cayuga, some mixed, two pekins, and a rouen. I have many Cayuga males to choose from as well.

The kids and I have officially made it home from a two-day road trip full of errands, miles, snacks, and one very exciting pickup. 😂🐷

Everyone meet Clyde — our new young registered Berkshire boar and hopefully a really important part of the future of our pork program.

We chose Clyde very intentionally. He comes from old Bonnie heritage lines, and out of the boars we had to choose from, he was the one that really stood out to us for his width, stout build, depth, and overall substance. His breeder told us he should mature more like his sire, and seeing the kind of thick, powerful Berkshire his dad is made us even more excited about what Clyde could become.

Our goal with him is simple: keep building toward the kind of pigs we’re proud to put our name behind — sound, thick, balanced, well-muscled hogs with excellent pork quality first, but with enough structure and eye appeal that select pigs from our litters can also have a future in 4-H and FFA as crossbred show prospects.

We’re especially excited to see what he brings to our girls over the next few years and how he helps shape the look of our herd as we keep selecting for better body, ham, width, growth, and overall quality.

He’s young, he has a lot of growing to do, and this is just the beginning — but we are SO excited to have him here.
Thank you so much Brian Rogers we love our sweet guy already.

WELCOME HOME CLYDE!! 🐷🖤🐖

I have spent the day getting caught up on our ADGA registration with all the babies. Our buck’s DNA is finally on file and i am so glad to finally be caught up. It was definitely a learning curve this past year but now i can be prepared for next year and know what to expect. Thank you to everyone who has adopted one of our goat kids. I can’t wait to see them grow up with their new herds! ❤️👏🥰🐐

The last few weeks have changed so much for our family.

Losing our home and having so much of life suddenly turned upside down has been heartbreaking, overwhelming, and honestly hard to even put into words. We have had to let go of plans, rethink what comes next, and accept that sometimes life takes you in a direction you never expected.

But through all of it, we are trying to trust that God is still writing our story.

Right now, we are in a season of waiting. Waiting for answers. Waiting for doors to open. Waiting to see where we are meant to put down roots again and what this next chapter is supposed to look like.

And while we wait, I have felt this pull to give our farm a fresh start too.

So over the next little while, we will be rebranding, renaming, dreaming, planning, and slowly building toward something new. Not because we are forgetting where we came from, but because this season has reminded us that sometimes starting over can also mean starting again with more purpose.

There is still so much unknown right now, but I am excited to have something hopeful to work toward.

A new chapter.
A new vision.
A fresh start for our family and our farm.

All in God’s timing. 🤎

I’ll be sharing our new name and look soon, and I’m really excited to bring y’all along for what comes next when those doors open. Maybe it’s a year from now or a few months. Only God knows! 🙏☺️

HOMED ❤️

I really hate to do this but with the circumstances i am slowly going to be rehoming a few animals. First off i need a TRUSTED farm friend who can take in our sweet Willow girl. This one absolutely breaks my heart she was supposed to live out her life with us where i know she is safe. Willow is a safe shetland pony we rescued with one eye. She is absolutely safe in every way however she prefers to just be left alone in retirement and maybe a few scratches at feeding time. She is good with ALL animals that are kind to her. She runs freely with our goats, piglets, big horse, mini cow, chickens, and ducks. She has free reign to wonder on her own. However with our house and electric gone our hot wire is down and our big horse is running her away from the feed often. She is losing a lot of weight and needs to be homed first to a trusted friend. If it’s someone i personally know that is a great home i am not asking for anything but a FOREVER retirement home only!!! No riding just friendly pets and love for her. She is also a good lawn mower in the Spring for us. Lol Please reach out if interested. 🙏🥺😞

A little rain never stopped ranch chores.
Wet hair, muddy ground, hungry animals, and one of those mornings that somehow still feels peaceful.
This life sure looks good on us. ❤️🙏🐴🐄🐐🐓
