Prestage Farms Prestage Farms is a family-owned, family-led business that began in 1983 in NC. We pride ourselves in being a trusted producer of quality pork and turkey.

Agriculture has changed a lot since 1983 when Bill and Marsha Prestage founded Prestage Farms in North Carolina. But today, we still farm and operate our businesses with the same family values they instilled 40 years ago as we strive to raise top-quality, homegrown pork and turkey for our families – and yours. The Prestage Farms family of companies now includes our base in North Carolina as well a

s farm production divisions located in South Carolina, Mississippi, Iowa, and Oklahoma. In addition, we have three different protein processing divisions: Prestage Foods of North Carolina and Prestage Foods of South Carolina (both turkey) and Prestage Foods of Iowa (pork). Our Prestage Farms and Prestage Foods teams of more than 3,000 employees and some 500 contractor farm families share a commitment to product safety and the well-being of our animals, our environment, and our communities that we call home. Together, we embrace the Prestage family values of doing each job well and treating people fairly while continually looking for ways to improve and advance the processes that allow us to produce the highest quality pork and turkey at a reasonable cost.

What an awesome time at the Got to Be NC Festival!
Prestage Foods of NC was proud to help sponsor the annual Carolina Pig Jig BBQ Cookoff by donating whole turkeys for the turkey barbecue competition. Various Masonic groups from across the state participated in the cookoff, all coming together for a great cause.

Proceeds from the Carolina Pig Jig benefit the Masonic Home for Children and the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina. It’s a fun event for everyone involved — and it smells AMAZING!

Our foundation was laid with the innovative turkey production practices that Bill Prestage pioneered in the 1960s. In 1983, he and his wife, Marsha, and their sons Scott and John established Prestage Farms.

While Prestage Farms has grown and continues to change—always implementing new innovations in animal care, sustainability, and business operations—our commitment to responsibly producing top-quality turkey and pork endures.
