Meet Tammy Cheely! She is an expert on cattle nutrition and we are thrilled to have her knowledge and expertise!
Tammy Cheely started her career in Georgia Extension in the Fall of 1994 as the County Coordinator/Ag and Natural Resources and 4-H Agent in Warren County. Over her twenty-nine-year career, she has served in Glascock, Hancock and Washington Counties, all at the same time, but Warren County has always been her home base. Glascock became a permanent responsibility for her as well many years ago.
Tammy Cheely is known for the tremendous impact she has made in the beef cattle industry in her area, in the state of Georgia, throughout the United States and even Internationally. Tammy’s connection to the beef industry, having served as President of the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association, gives her great insights into the entire beef supply chain, from cow-calf through marketing of beef products to consumers.
Under Tammy’s guidance, cattle men and cattle women have all become better stockmen, breeders, teachers, and friends. She has helped select cattle for build herds that match farms, grass, facilities, and dreams. Tammy is described by many as a forward thinker and has transformed many of herds.
