Well, we pushed through and we made it back from CDA at about 3 am 😅. It was a fast and furious trip but the girls did great. We had lots of very respectable top of the class placings with some tough competition. Here are some highlights.
Goat Forest Farm Ring-A-Ling took Grand Campion Jr Doe in Ring 1 and was in the top of her class in Ring two in a large, 20+ class of March born kids. Our other Jr kid in that class took third in both rings so she is nipping at her heals!
Greyn Acres DJ Double D won her class of aged does (5 and up) in both rings and brought home a Reserve Champion sr. Doe ribbon in ring 1.
Goat Forest Farm Grand Marnier flirted with the top spot in her class in both rings. We are super excited for this little doe to mature a little more this summer! She will be unstoppable!
Our Lamancha Jrs. did really well with Jr. Kid Goat Forest Farm Bee’s Knees placing first in her class in ring one and second in her class in ring two.
Sr. Lamancha kid Goat Forest Farm Ember landed
Herself a first in her class in ring one with Goat Forest Farm Queen Bee in the second place spot right behind her. Ember landed herself a second place spot in ring two as well.
Then a great big highlight of the show. The sr does won 1st place milking herd in the Nigerian breed in ring 1. Then they brought the top milking herds of each breed back into the ring and the ladies won 1st place milking herd overall in ring 1! The group consisted of Hyalite MQ Fleur Noir, Greyn Acres DJ Double D, Coyote Kidz Gelato,
and MaaAcres Dairy Goats Bambi.
Thank you Vanessa Brum and everyone at Coeur d’Alene for hosting the CDA Fuzzy Show! We will be back next year!
One more thing, we have a confession to make. We would like to introduce Rockin CB Valkyrie! We are over the moon excited to bring home this beautiful little Lamancha from the Rockin CB herd! Her momma won Grand Champion Sr Lamancha in Ring 1 and Reserve Champion in Ring 2.
