Iron & Ember was born from fire, family, faith, and a passion that became a legacy.
Based in Oakville, Texas, Iron & Ember began with a young competitor’s love for cooking over open flame and grew into a family-run business rooted in purpose. At the heart of it all is Rae “Lil Gringa,” whose journey on the world food stage sparked what would become a shared family calling. Through years of competition, travel, and live-fire events, the Barker family came together—building not only championship titles, but a mission centered on service, humility, and excellence.
Rae’s success opened doors across the nation and around the world, allowing the family to cook alongside elite chefs, help others reach finals in world-level food competitions, and mentor rising talent. Throughout that journey, faith has remained the foundation. Iron & Ember believes food is more than a meal—it’s a way to serve others, build community, and reflect God’s love through generosity, gratitude, and intentional hospitality.
Today, Iron & Ember delivers elevated live-fire cuisine, BBQ, Tex-Mex, hors d’oeuvres, and curated charcuterie boards, crafted with the same discipline, heart, and faith that shaped the journey from the beginning. Every event is a family effort—executed with integrity, passion, and the belief that sharing great food is one of the most powerful ways to bring people together.
