I killed another plant. Anyone else struggle with house plants? I veer from “I forgot to water you” to “I shall kill you with overwatering”. Pictured next to the first seed starts of the year for contrast (lisianthus if you’re curious).

Happy New Year everyone! Watching my football team try to win their bowl game and pondering seed starting for 2026. As one does. I am wondering if there is an interest in organically raised tomato and pepper plants for spring. Local pick up in Tipp City. I will donate at least 10% of proceeds to a local food bank. Anyway, I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions. Unrelated picture to catch your eye 😉

This quote made me laugh the first time I read it... not only because of the humor, but because of the profound truth expressed in so few words.

Many of us spend our precious energy trying to change people.
Wishing people would change (to be/act the way WE want them to be/act).
Hoping they'll see things OUR way.

This is an enormous waste of our time, energy and headspace.

What if we used those resources instead to love and appreciate people exactly how they are?

People don't have to THINK just like you to deserve love and appreciation.
People don't have to ACT just like you to deserve love and appreciation.
People don't have to BE just like you to deserve love and appreciation.

Instead of trying to change them, change your expectations.
Change yourself first.

Love them wholly and completely. No reservations or expectations.

What would shift in your relationships if you loved first, without the agenda to change?

P.S. Today's Dahlia is "Prince Noir". Normally, the blooms are rich, deep wine color...but every once in a while, we get one like this! A great reminder that differences are what make life even more beautiful.

I’m already starting to miss the flowers. I picked these right before the frost took out the rest. They are currently dying in their vase but that picture isn’t as pretty, and I’m not really on top of timely posts. Guess I’ve run out of excuses not to clean the house….

Enjoying the quiet of this beautiful Saturday morning. It’s amazing how many flowers bloom in just one week this time of year.
