That's right! Legends of the South has returned with some new and exciting changes. We will be offering around 8-10 spring born heifers and 2 yearling bulls in our ONLINE sale this fall. All will be broke to tie and are registered percentage simmentals and all are polled!

Gretchen continuing to bring home banners just a new person on the halter. Sold her as a bred last fall and looks like she's dominating not only in the ring but in the field too. Calf is sired by our angus herd bull and looks like she's gonna have the same kind of future. Congrats Coby!

Was able to wash and clip up the Percentage Simmis this weekend. Hopefully I will get pics and videos next weekend. If anyone is looking for a good herd bull, you might wanna check the guys out! All have great dispositions and have siblings that have done well in the showring.

I have to take a moment to say how excited we are about our transition out of clubby cattle to registered simmis, angus, and red angus and just how much good genetics really matter. Last 4 or 5 years we did clubbies, we were lucky to get a 40-50% conception rate overall and a 33% conception with the ones we AI'd. Today, we ultrasounded the fall herd. 24 head total. 20 were either from Gamble Angus/3Aces Cattle or heifers raised from cattle we purchased from them. Our herd bulls are from them as well. 1 was called open. I won't say where the other 4 that were open came from. Of those 20, we AI'd 12 of them to Gamble bulls. 10 of the 12 stuck to the bull we AI'd them to. The clean up bulls got all but 2 of them on the 1st cycle they were with them. Thats an 85% conception rate with AI and 80% conception rate overall. I have never had that high of a percentage in the 17 years Ive been raising show cattle. If you want good genetics, its worth the drive to Tennessee. Glad to be able to spread these genetics here in Virginia.

We have 4 yearling bulls that are for sale now and have weaned our fall group with some very promising calves that will be in the breaking pen soon. Keep looking in to see pocs and info on what we'll have to offer
