Another one bites the dust. That’s unfortunate. One of the only close competitions I got to attend. It was a good one.

BBQ & Boogie-2026 cancelled competition

I regret to inform you, that after much deliberation and discussion, that the Downtown Development Authority has decided to cancel the KCBS competition this year at the BBQ & Boogie festival April 25, 2026. This was a difficult decision, and one not taken lightly. Although we have had many great competitions and met so many wonderful people along the way the competition just isn’t feasible anymore from a financial standpoint. We would like to thank KCBS, our reps and all of the competitors along the way, as each one of you have been a wonderful part of the memories made throughout the years. Good luck in all of your future competitions.
