Back in April Bam held onto some queen cells after our swarm management, kept them warm (with a warming disc), and took them to our local bee club for another club member. Two emerged but were not productive. We now know to keep them upright the whole time.

We transferred a swarm into a queen-less hive today and WOW look at that comb! Corbin got creative and placed the brood in some frames without foundation. We were happy to see the bees fanning the queen’s pheromone once they were in the hive. We’ll keep you posted on Hive 6.
