Its with very very sad hearts that we're sharing our Herfy passed away this week.

Mama had a VERY VERY rough farrowing. After we had a couple piglets get stuck, we pulled a couple and had a stuck one. We had the vet come out and assist. After that she passed 2 more on her own and showed signs that she was finished and on the home stretch. I believe we had 8 or so at that point. The next morning we had noticed another stuck so we pulled that one. Vet came out and pulled a couple more. Over the next 3 days she showed all the signs she was done, but kept having piglets, stuck. All in all I think we ended up with 14! Sadly, only 3 survived and around 9 were still born. We and the vet did everything we could, we administered antibiotics and pain meds for the traumatic experience. She started rejecting our help with the antibiotics and went down hill quick.

To say she was loved by all of us was an understatement! She wasn't around long but was the best pig. To many she may just be pig but she was more to us. Unfortunately, that how it goes, you win some and you lose some. We did what we could but sometimes its never enough!

We will find a replacement, but most likely will never replace her completely.

Little piglets are doing well! It's so fun watching these guys grow!

Mamas are both very docile and piglets are as well. Some cuddles are had each day! Have to get them in while they are small, theyre growing like weeds!

Playing find the feeders this morning.

We fenced off another small section of our grove for our feeder pigs to be moved to. There is a small amount of forage they cleaned up and alot less FLIES! They are way happier in the trees, in the shade and dirt.

We have 2 wholes left in this group if you need some pork for over the winter!

Our hearts are full! Our 2nd litter has arrived on her due date!

Well, we did it! A proud moment on our farm!

Our first official litter! Bred and born on our farm! What an accomplishment! It feels great!

Mama spot surprised us with a big litter for a first time gilt! Fully unassisted, we didn't even have a hut set up for her because we were expecting our other gilt to go first! She had 10 beautiful little ones! Looks like 1 still born and 1 got crushed, but for a first time mama we will take that as a huge win!

Warm evening of picking up hay! Thanks again to Ebeling Farm Fresh Goods for putting up some good hay for us! Mom was in the hot seat hauling and the kids and I were loading!

We feed hay year round. We wish we had acres on acres of green grass to graze, but we are giving our grass a break with this heat to hopefully get a few weeks of grazing in the fall yet.

We have beef available for winter '26/spring 27'. Message us to get a 1/4, 1/2, or whole.

And yes, our 6 year old was getting a lesson in the Skidloader. Driving and picking bales. No better time to learn than the present!

All the spring feeders are finally home. Picked the last 2 up this morning from a great local farmer!

We will have butcher dates mid to late fall for wholes and halves. This round we have some crosses that we've had in the past and a few others. Some Duroc, Berkshire, Old Spot and crosses of Duroc and Berkshire as well.

Get ahold of us today to get on the list that's already filling up.

Locker dates at Trimont Locker or get a locker date at a locker of your choosing and we can arrange that way as well!
