My mouth is watering! They turned out SO fantastically yummy!!! 🤩

Pictured on the top is the Apple Cobbler- cobbler crumble topping with vanilla bean icing! All with delicious, fresh apple filling rolled into every bite!

On the bottom is the Salted Caramel Apple Crisp- with a baked streusel topping and cream cheese vanilla bean icing! Also with the same apple filling 🤤

One concept, two varieties, both with amazing flavor!

Fresh apples from Apple Hill Orchard in Morganton are coming your way! We had a great, but hot 🥵, time apple picking on Monday. We were missing one due to a cold but we made the most of it without him!

Also… my oven is fixed!!! Hallelujah! So my PLAN is to have all buns baked and ready for you for pickup by Friday late morning (no later than 11:00). We will be leaving for tennis at 11:0 and will be in Charlotte for the remainder of the day, so all Friday pickups will be placed in the front porch cooler. Otherwise you’ll need to wait until Saturday ☺️. Please let me know when you’d like to schedule pickup so I can plan accordingly! 🙌🏼

My daughter is competing in a regional tennis tournament in Charlotte this week (proud momma moment! 🥹❤️), so Friday baking is off the table!

I’m hoping to have your buns fresh and ready for pickup Thursday evening, but I’ll keep everyone updated as the week unfolds. Worst case, we’re looking at Saturday afternoon/evening, assuming my oven repair goes according to plan. 🤞😂

Thank y’all for being so patient and rolling with the craziness of this little family-run bakery! Between tennis tournaments, football games, cheerleading, oven repairs, and a whole lot of cinnamon buns, we’re keeping things interesting around here! 🤎

We’re going apple picking, and we’ve got TWO mouthwatering fall creations in mind! But which one should make its way onto the Jazzy Buns menu?! 🤎

🍏 OPTION 1: Brown Butter Salted Caramel Apple Crisp

Our signature soft, pillowy cinnamon bun swirled with brown butter caramelized apples and warm cinnamon sugar, then crowned with luscious vanilla bean cream cheese frosting, a golden, buttery brown sugar oat crumble, and a decadent salted caramel drizzle. The perfect combination of gooey, creamy, crunchy, and sweet with just a hint of salty!

🍎 OPTION 2: Brown Butter Apple Cobbler

Our signature fluffy cinnamon bun filled with tender, brown butter caramelized apples, warm cinnamon, and brown sugar, then topped with golden pieces of buttery, Southern-style cobbler crust and finished with a silky brown butter vanilla bean icing that finishes this bun off PERFECTLY! The family behind the buns. 🥰

👋🏼 Hey there! For those of you who don't know me, I’m Katie! I may be the primary baker in the kitchen but absolutely couldn’t do it without the help and support of these special people! My husband is my backup EVERYTHING! He is always there for encouragement, brainstorming, trouble shooting, taste testing, box building… you name it. If he can, he will! While I tend to leave our kids out of my baking (I’m a germ freak- you’re welcome! 🫣) they are excellent product testers and my biggest cheerleaders!
The background on our little guy in the picture frame… that’s Ethan. 🩵. He was third in line of the five. 🥰 He was diagnosed with anencephaly when I was 10 weeks pregnant, just one week after the passing of my daddy. The doctors termed him “incompatible with life” and we were encouraged to terminate the pregnancy. Those were some rough days. But God stepped in and used a dear friend to help us realize that just because something was recommended by the doctors didn’t necessarily mean it was the right path for us or our family. We carried him to term, he was born just three weeks early (January 3, 2018) and lived with us for 6.5 hours before Jesus took him home. It’s pictures like this that help us keep his memory alive and his spirit with us always!
So that is us! The James Family! Our little Jazzy girl is the cute one holding the frame. Thank you for letting me share my family with you, and thank you for continuing to support my small business! I am so blessed by each of you and pray that what I love doing brings even a small smile to the faces of you and your families!

A HUGE shoutout to Sarah Michelle Griggs at Sarah Griggs Photography for taking our family photos last week. We did a mini session for fall and she absolutely knocked it out of the park! Yall this week’s buns are 🔥!

But I can’t NOT mention how good our God is! My oven has been throwing error codes at me all week. Something about a cooling fan. We reset it and it works for a little while… Then throw another error at me. I wasn’t able to get a repair person in until next Wednesday, but I had already committed to multiple people and lots of buns prior to my oven going on the fritz. Even up until this morning (after a 2am wake up to begin proofing said buns), the first two times I tried to preheat it, it gave me error codes. I went upstairs, almost in tears at 5:45 to wake my husband and go to Plan B, which I’ll get to you in a moment… He went downstairs, I prayed, and wouldn’t you know the oven preheated and stayed on for the full three hours that I needed to bake every single bun I’d promised, and then some! Never forget how good He is, and that, even in the little things, he’ll see us through one way or another!

Thank you to my Plan B… Emily Geyer for being a rockstar and not hesitating the second I asked to use her oven if mine bit the dust! Emily, thank you so much!

Please help me wish this boy child of mine a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! He’s an absolute BLESSING and the best son and brother I could imagine for this family! Time flies… I can’t believe my second oldest is TWELVE and almost as tall as me! 😳🫣
