A few years ago, I walked into my local flower collective and selected an assortment of beautiful seasonal summer flowers. I didn’t have a vision, but what transpired was a late-summer color palette of watery blues, muted golds, dusty pinks, peaches and, of course, bright green. And from that came my inspiration for Garden Reverie - A Study in Monet.
I dreamt of hosting a shoot with rattan and ceramic elements, with grassy, high texture florals and unique, elevated scenes. And most importantly: lots of blue. I envisioned a recessed meadow with a pond, including moss, rocks and floating lily pads - an ode to Monet’s “Water Lilies”.
Throughout the process I continuously was inspired by fine-art, with touches showing up in details from the seating chart (hand painted by NC + VA Wedding Planner & Coordinator) to our stationery (artistry by La Fleur Paper Co. | Fine Art Stationery Studio). I am so grateful to each and every one of my team members who went above and beyond - and were just as committed to the vision as I was!
