We have a milking doe looking for a new pasture!

Melody is a first freshening 2yo. She had a single doe kid in early March and milks almost a gallon a day. She is registered ADGA Recorded Grade 75%oberhasli. When bred to an American Oberhasli buck her doe kids can be registered as American Oberhasli.

They are super friendly and socialized, both parents have great herding instincts, mom lives around goats, horses and cattle. Dad lives around sheep.

We had a much more exciting day than we could have imagined at the Sweet Spring Dairy Goat Show - Troy, PA yesterday!

The Lucky Bubbles at 9 years old went Grand Champion Oberhasli and BOB in both rings, even beating the champion challenger! We are hoping to get a final leg and make her a finished champion this year!

Lavender Knoll Bubbly Bertha was Grand Champion Junior Oberhasli under judge Peter Snyder.

Lavender Knoll GVR Crazy Train was Reserve Champion Oberhasli under judge Jeremy Lesniak as a spring kid.

Lavender Knoll GVR Dolly was Reserve Champion Recorded Grade under judge Jeremy Lesniak also as a spring kid!

We also had a great time in PeeWee showmanship and getting to show with family and friends! Huge thank you to all our helpers for the day and all the volunteers that ran an awesome show!

We've had an interesting kidding season so far with 5 doe kids out of three kiddings! 🤯

Poppy started us off with a single doe kid who has proven to be very adventurous. Poppy will be for sale eventually as a milking doe.

Dana was second with triplet does unfortunately the third one was still born and she has had a slow recovery but everyone is starting to come around.

And last night our first freshening grade Melody had another single feisty doe kid.

We are going to see how everyone grows before deciding on keepers. We are waiting on the last two to finish us off!

We had an exciting day at the Troy Fair Open Goat Show yesterday. Our aged doe The Lucky Bubbles brought home Best of Show! Bubbles turned 8 in June and has 5 freshenings under her belt. It took her mammary system a while to mature but it seems to be paying off in her longevity as an aged doe!

We were the only Oberhaslis in the show this year but had some nice comments from the judge on everyone we brought.

We also loved showing with friends and neighbors and always have a blast at the costume contest. Congratulations to all the other exhibitors and thank you to all the volunteers who organized and helped run the show!
