Happy New Year!
Iāve always followed lifestyle I call centripetal peripateticāa lot of moving about, exploring the world, but always circling back to the place that roots me, šæ Old Stateline Gardens.
While home these past couple of months, I focused on using scrapsāthe cut-offs that pile up during bigger projects, the pieces too neat to be burned. From those pieces, I made a small collection called š What Remains š
I love tiny things (obsessed, really), and this collection honors that. A reminder that even the overlooked bits have beauty. That good things can be built from whatās left behind. That the pieces in our livesāthe ones we set aside, forget about, or underestimateāhave value. Realizing we already have all we need. Being resourceful. Rebuilding from whatās left. Giving thingsāand ourselvesāsecond chances.
As I set off once again into this centripetal peripatetic rhythm to teach for a few months, Iām thinking about the pieces of life that matter most to me and already looking forward returning home to Old Stateline Gardens just in time for gardening season.
Hereās to a new year and new possibilities. To taking what remains and transforming it into a beautiful new year.
