Behind the Doe 🦌🤎

Since we’re taking this week off, we thought we’d purge the camera roll and show you just a fraction of what happens behind the scenes of our cottage microbakery, all while having full-time jobs.

A LOT goes into running Sourdoe Baking, from keeping our starter Frankie thriving, mixing dough of all kinds, baking hundreds of items weekly to prepping, packaging and everything in between.

As much as we love what we do, we also want to make sure we’re taking time to recharge so we can continue bringing the best fresh bakes to our neighbors, especially with the busy holiday season coming up!

Our first official farmers market for Sourdoe Baking is in the books! We sold out in under an hour and learned SO much along the way. 🤭

🍪 Offer mix-and-match 4-packs so everyone can try a little of everything
🍞 Have bread slicing available!
🤎 Displays and samples make all the difference. People eat with their eyes first!
✨ Invest in a better card reader (preferably one that doesn’t need my Face ID every time 🙃)
🥯 Slow down, introduce yourself, and get to know your customers. The connections are the best part!

Still can’t believe the turnout. So grateful for everyone who came out to support our little Connecticut microbakery. Already can’t wait for the next one!
