I'm going to be honest for just a moment. Life keeps throwing one horrific situation after another my direction. So this business might be a lot longer getting off the ground than I intended. I decided to pivot again and go back to the really long path of boot strapping a business off the ground. I'll just be going at it without any of my previously saved money for the business, and now without the assistance of the obstacles that took me from my original business path and drained what little money I had saved. So cross your fingers I find some magic winning lottery ticket, or this world gets a lot less greedy and power hungry.

In the mean time, the vehicle I was going to use fell through and that sets me back on being and to transport things to places to do a My Neighborhood Eats style cook out, and I no longer have the funds for a mobile flat top grill, although I did purchase the cooktop for a gas oven with the funds I previously raised. So that's where I'm at currently. Not completely back to ground zero, but really close.

I'll keep everyone updated on the journey. But I figured it was only fair to bring y'all along on the hardship portion too.

May everyone celebrating today have a safe and happy holiday. Thank you to everyone who's following asking with my journey!! Tonight Meet The Makers a awesome, and everyone has such great feedback. Hopefully in a few months I will be able to proceed as planned with pop ups at Mother Road Market.

Whew, spent all day yesterday with my friend getting things purchased for Meet the Makers!! Will it be perfect? No, time I had allotted for this ended up going towards taking care of more pressing unexpected obligations. Will it be fun? Always!!

Down to printing some items, grabbing the last little things that were not available yesterday, and gathering all the equipment to take with me Monday to safely cook everything! Thanks to everyone sticking with me on the journey! We can't control life's curve balls, but we can control how we navigate our way through things. My Neighborhood Eats might be delayed in getting the concept off the ground, but we are working our way to opening!!

See those of you who are able at Meet the Makers! We'll see everyone else not in July as originally planned for our first pop up, but in a few months after things have settled.
