I’m SO excited to be bringing La Docta Gourmet Empanadas to the Haskell Farm Swap Fall Kickoff tomorrow! ❤️

And we’re already off to a great start — I already have pre-orders packed, labeled and ready to go for tomorrow! 🥟

I’ll have my Argentine empanadas with me, including beef, chicken, veggie and pulled pork, along with my chimichurri.

🍂🎃 AND… it’s pumpkin pie season! 🎃🍂
I’ll have a limited amount of my seasonal pumpkin pie, served with whipped cream for you to try. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Tomorrow I’m taking La Docta Gourmet Empanadas to Haskell, and I’m getting REALLY excited to finally meet everyone there! ❤️🇦🇷

I’ve been talking about this event all week, showing you the empanadas, making chimichurri, and getting everything ready. Now it’s almost time!

I’ll have four flavors:

🥟 Pulled Pork

And yes, samples will be available!

I’ll also have plenty of my fresh chimichurri. 🌿

Chimichurri is traditionally associated with grilled meats and steak, but it is much more versatile than that. Try it with beef, chicken, pork, poultry, vegetables — or spoon it over an empanada. That fresh, garlicky, herby flavor works beautifully with all of them.

🌿 THE CHIMICHURRI IS READY FOR HASKELL! 🌿

Look at this beautiful batch! 😍

If you've been following me this week, you've seen me making it, talking about it, and getting it ready for tomorrow.

And just to be clear about what chimichurri is:

It isn't just “the sauce that goes with empanadas.”

Chimichurri is a classic Argentine accompaniment, especially with grilled steak and meats, but it's incredibly versatile.

🥟 And YES — it's fantastic with empanadas!

That fresh parsley, garlic, oregano, vinegar and oil combination brings a completely different flavor to whatever you're eating.

🌿 Good chimichurri takes time! 🌿

One of the secrets to a really flavorful chimichurri is giving it time to rest. It shouldn’t be made and served immediately. The herbs, garlic, oregano, peppers, vinegar, and oil need time for all those aromas and flavors to come together and become perfectly integrated. ❤️

That’s why I make my chimichurri ahead of time — so when you get yours this Saturday, all those flavors have had time to develop!

And yes… it will be coming with me to Haskell! 🇦🇷🥟

🍂🥟 Getting all the last details ready for Saturday! 🥟🍂

Today is all about cooking, baking, getting the empanadas ready, and making sure I have everything packed and ready to go for my first Haskell Farm Swap!

I’m also putting together a few fall-themed touches for my table because if I’m going to show up, I want my little La Docta space to look nice and inviting. 🍁😊

I’ll have my big La Docta banner, so you’ll be able to spot me! I’ll probably be set up by the building/supply store since I need electricity to warm the empanadas and have samples ready for you to taste. 🥟

It’s getting real now… tomorrow is prep, and Saturday is HASKELL! ❤️

I’m excited to meet everyone, try some of the other vendors’ goodies, and hopefully introduce a few of you to empanadas for the first time!
