Update
Things are moving quick with our move over to Burger Stop! We've replaced some equipment and have been painting and overall getting ready to combine our spots! We're working closely with the Burger Stop staff (now part of the Food Dude family) to work thru the menus and keep customer favorites while getting rid of things that don't sell or make sense to keep. The staff has been really great to get to know and we have tons of respect for what they've been doing.
To clarify one thing: Burger Stop has been family owned and operated since they opened in 1979. We grew up coming to Burger Stop as kids, so we have a stake in keeping their traditions going. Food service life is draining, and we understand their need to step back and focus on their other careers and retirement. Their family has been very generous and helpful and supportive during this transition. They're excited for this, and so are we. This is not an end to Burger Stop, it's just the next phase as we combine a local icon with our forward-looking BBQ.
We've read your messages, talked to many of you in person, and have heard what you've told the Burger Stop staff.
Here are answers to some of your questions:
All burgers will be made with high quality, locally sourced meat that we grind here. Fresh and local cost more than frozen, and there are higher costs associated with having staff sort, cut, grind, & weigh the meat. These will be very high quality burgers!
Price: even though they cost more, we're keeping prices as low as possible. Most burgers are only going up by 50 cents. This will remain a budget friendly, family focused burger joint! Prices start at just $6.49 -- we're proud to stand behind that quality and value.
Pastrami is staying, but we'll be smoking it here before slicing it thin for your burgers or sandwiches.
Nearly all burgers are staying, in addition to a few additions of our own. The burgers leaving came at the recommendation of Burger Stop staff, based on their experience of what doesn't sell or what is similar and can be combined with another option.
The ice cream/milkshakes are not staying. This was a hard one, but they take up a lot of space and the staff don't like making them because they throw off the flow of serving you quickly and efficiently.
Breakfast is staying, with the addition of our breakfast burritos and brisket breakfast tacos.
Malibu chicken and chicken strips are staying, but will be made with fresh chicken and house breading.
We appreciate your continued support! We'll post more info on the updated menus tomorrow, along with the grand opening this weekend!
