No-Oven Vanilla Birthday Cake

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

2½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour

2½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened

3 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 cup (240 ml) whole milk

Vanilla Buttercream

1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, softened

4 cups (480 g) powdered sugar

2–3 tbsp milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Rainbow sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

1. Grease and line an 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pan.

2. Preheat a large pot with a rack or metal stand inside over low heat for 10 minutes.

3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

4. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

6. Mix in the vanilla extract.

7. Add the dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with the milk. Mix just until combined.

8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

9. Place the pan on the rack inside the preheated pot. Cover the pot tightly with the lid.

10. Bake on very low heat for 55–70 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.

11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Buttercream

1. Beat the butter until creamy.

2. Gradually add the powdered sugar.

3. Mix in the vanilla, salt, and enough milk to achieve a smooth, spreadable consistency.

Decorate

Level the cooled cake if needed.

Frost the top and sides with vanilla buttercream.

Decorate with colorful sprinkles, piping, candles, or birthday toppers.

Chill for 20 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.

Classic Glazed Donuts Recipe (Dunkin’-Style)

Ingredients

For the Dough

* 3½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
* 2¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
* ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
* ½ tsp salt
* ¾ cup (180 ml) warm whole milk
* 2 large eggs
* ¼ cup (57 g) unsalted butter, softened
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Frying

* Vegetable oil, for deep frying

For the Glaze

* 2 cups (240 g) powdered sugar
* ¼ cup (60 ml) milk
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

* Chocolate glaze
* Pink strawberry glaze
* Rainbow sprinkles
* Chocolate sprinkles
* Crushed nuts



Instructions

Prepare the Dough

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
2. Add the warm milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract.
3. Mix until a soft dough forms.
4. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5. Cover and let the dough rise for 1½–2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Shape the Donuts

1. Roll the dough to about ½ inch (1.25 cm) thick.
2. Cut out donuts using a donut cutter or two round cutters.
3. Place the donuts on a parchment-lined tray.
4. Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.

Fry

Pancake Batter

- 1½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1¼ cups (300 ml) milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Mix-In

- ¼ cup chocolate chips

For Serving

- Chocolate syrup
- Fresh strawberries
- Banana slices
- Whipped cream
- Maple syrup
