Rock Island Farm was never just a farm. It was a place where people showed up. For a yard sale in the heat, a bunny snuggle under a tent, an adoption day, a retreat, a hard day, or just a few quiet minutes holding something soft.
It was gravel under our feet at a local pop-up, hay in the cages, kids gathered around bunnies, familiar faces at D&S Farm Supply, neighbors waving in Scottsville, and the kind of kindness that does not need a big speech.
Every person who came through helped prove something I’ve believed for a long time. Our stories matter. What we live through matters. Lived experience is data. And sometimes care looks as simple as holding a bunny and remembering we do not have to do life alone.
As we close this chapter in Scottsville and begin the next as Rock Island Rabbits in Pacific, Wa, I just want to say thank you. Rock Island Farm was a soft place to land because you helped make it one.
