The Twisted Kettle is a North Carolina based food truck serving gourmet popcorn, warm pretzels, and specialty drinks at festivals, school events, corporate gatherings, and private parties across NC.

Join us September 18–20, 2026 for the SATP Early Fall Show, a NCHJA/SCHJA 'C' Show.

September brings a special twist to our Equitation Challenge! Our normal challenge will be replaced with a three-phase SATP Equitation Challenge.

Written Test: Basic horsemanship, tack, conformation, horse care, rules, and showing practices
Flat Phase: Equitation on the flat, including USEF-style tests. Competitiors will NOT be asked to counter-canter
Jumping Phase: An equitation-style course

Scores from all three phases will be combined to determine the winner, with additional testing at the judge's discretion. The challenge is open to anyone showing in an equitation class during the show, as well as professionals.

So brush up on your horsemanship, sharpen your equitation, and get ready to put your skills to the test!
