“Some folks look for answers. Others look for fights.”

If you don’t trust the government’s imported mystery meat, buy from a local farmer.

Never wonder where your meat came from—or what animal it came from. Our pork and beef are pasture raised right here in Virginia on pesticide-free pastures, with no antibiotics.

Conveniently located in Elkton—just 20 minutes from Harrisonburg and 45 minutes from Charlottesville.

Garlic & Chorizo Brats, Tenderloins, and Picnic Roasts are BACK in stock! Limited quantities available.

🐂 ASTRIX: 0% REGRETS. 100% ATTITUDE. 😂

Astrix thought he’d take himself on a little unauthorized farm tour this morning. Because apparently, fences are merely suggestions. 🙄😂

So now he’s in timeout, contemplating his life choices…

Except he’d like to make one thing VERY clear:

He would do it again. 😂

No remorse. No apologies. Just a handsome face and a whole lot of audacity. 🤣🐂❤️

🎉 THE UPDATE WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!! 🎉

Lady is feeling MUCH, MUCH BETTER! 🥹❤️

Watch how attentive she is, how she comes right to me for treats, and—most importantly—how her movements are BACK TO NORMAL SPEED! 🙌🐮

WE DID IT!! You guys are absolutely, without a doubt, PRAYER WARRIORS. 🙏❤️ I can never thank you all enough. My sweet Lady is going to be OK!! 😭💕

She is already anxious to get back to her friends, but we’re going to keep her sidelined for a few more days. We want to give her time to continue putting weight back on and make sure she’s staying strong, eating, and up and about.

I literally cried this morning after making this video. ❤️

Lady is extra special to us. She is the only female born to our former herd sire, Beau, and our cow, Bailey, and we have BIG plans for her future! 🐮✨

But for the next year, she’ll stay right here in our Calf Cuddle Program, getting all the love, attention, cuddles, and treats her heart desires. 🥰❤️

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
Every prayer, good vibe, happy dance, and kind message meant more than you’ll ever know. 🙏❤️

LADY IS GOING TO BE OKAY!! 🎉🐮💕

🎉 Parti Boi is officially 14 months old! 🎉

Which means… he’s officially ready for the “Big Boy Paddock”! 🐂❤️

We’ll start transitioning him over the next month, beginning with a small group of 2-year-old heifers to help him build his confidence and learn the ropes with the bigger kids. 🥰

Just 2 days ago, he measured 34", which still has him right on track to mature around 39"—exactly where we expected him to be! 🙌

And, as always… Non-Chondro. We breed for naturally small! ❤️

We absolutely cannot wait to watch this boy grow up and eventually start producing calves alongside Legend! These two are going to make quite the pair, and we’re so excited for what the future holds! 🥹🐂

📸 This is an older picture of Parti Boi, but aside from bigger horns now, he’s still just as beautiful! 😍

🚨 WARNING SIGNS OF THEILERIA 🚨
For anyone who may be dealing with Theileria, I wanted to share some of the warning signs I’m seeing with Lady.
🐄 “Slow motion” movement — The cow/calf starts moving differently. Their movements become delayed, increasingly slow, and very methodical.
👀 Glass-like eyes — Their eyes can look glazed over or “checked out.”
⚖️ Rapid weight loss — Weight can drop drastically in the week(s) leading up to the onset of obvious symptoms, even though appetite stays normal.
🫧 Body condition can be deceiving in Highlands — All that fluff can make it incredibly difficult to judge their body condition. But when they’re wet, or when you’re able to really feel them while petting them, it can become painfully obvious just how thin and fragile they’ve become.
💔 Isolation is incredibly stressful — We have Lady separated in a very small area where she still has line of sight and a shared fenceline with her “crew.” Separating calves from their herd is incredibly stressful for them, and at this stage, stress can be deadly.
🙏 A little bit of good news this morning: Lady only struggled a little to stand! She is up now, eating and drinking, which are all GREAT signs. ❤️
We are nowhere close to being out of the woods yet. She’s still refusing grain and treats, so I’ll have to syringe her NSAID medication because we typically mix it into her grain.
She has 2 more shots today, along with continued monitoring.
The rest of her tiny herd will all be given injectable dewormer, a dose of antibiotics, Multi-Min (vitamins) and B12 today. Better safe than sorry.
And once again, I have to say… you all are POWERFUL with your prayers. ❤️
Please keep them coming for our girl. 🙏🐄❤️

I am heartbroken. 💔

If you're the praying kind, the good-vibes kind, or the happy-dance-and-send-all-the-positive-energy kind… we need you right now. 🙏✨ There is so much power in numbers.

This isn't our first rodeo with Theileria.

Five years ago, it ravaged through our herd and left me so shaken in its wake that I was adamant I wanted to call it quits. I didn't know if my heart could handle going through something like that again.

But when your heart belongs to cows… you just can't turn away. ❤️🐮

This year, the ticks and flies have been astronomically higher. Looking back, I should have seen this coming. But if I'm being completely honest, I got complacent.

I thought we had figured it out.
I thought we had learned how to thrive.

And we had… for a normal year. A normal year with a normal amount of ticks and flies.

This year is anything but normal.

So tonight, I'm praying HARD. 🙏
Praying for strength.
Praying for healing.
Praying for the ones who need it most.
And praying that we get through this without another devastating loss.

If you pray, please say a prayer for our herd. If you don't, send some good vibes, positive thoughts, or do a little happy dance for us. 💕 Whatever you believe in, we will take it.

Because right now, we need all the power in the numbers. 🐮❤️🙏

📢 New Calf Alert! ♂️

RVA's Maddie x RVA's Astrix 2026 Bull Calf

This guy is TINY and measured in at only 14" and 25lb yesterday! Non-Chondro!

Maddie & Astrix's past year's calves are all still on track to mature at around 39", I expect this little guy to be about the same.

Tiny, fluffy, and cute 😍 Maddie & Astrix make it happen every time!!

He will be steered and offered in our October auction! Perfect pet option or show prospect with his full belt and phenomenal hair!

Zoom in to the right side of the picture. 👀

Chickens never cease to amaze me with how routine oriented they are. They never left their coop area... even though the coop itself left the area. 😜
