This recipe is inspired by the world of Narnia and is called Children En Croute. In The Silver Chair, the giants of Harfang Castle enjoy this meal. This one was really easy to make and very tasty! Great for days when you don’t really feel like cooking. Just assemble and bake!

For the Marvel fans out there- This one is inspired by Doctor Strange. It is called The Ancient One’s Tibetan Momo. Steven Strage goes to find a cure in Tibet and meets the Ancient One. I learned that I like dumplings...to eat them not to make them.

This is inspired by Harry Potter. It is called Soup with the Gaze of Lord Voldemort’s Basilisk. We all know what the basilisk is and what its gaze does! The soup is just a potato base with some watercress. A little flavorless, but at least I am not petrified.

Today’s recipe was very good! This is Hippogriff En Papillote from the Wizards cookbook. This recipe cracked me up because it calls for Hippogriff meat. In parenthsis it says the real world substitue...Ostrich meat....Where was this book made?? I didn’t even know people ate ostrich! Either way I just did filet mignon. Super good though. Quick and easy and tasty. Everyone enjoyed second dinner.

This recipe was odd. It was inspired by the Bartimaeus Trilogy and called Vice Versa Apples. It looks odd. It sounds odd. Granny smith apples, ham, brie, and a little mustard. It honestly tasted like if there was a charcuterie board and I decided to eat an everything bite.

This happens to be another experiment fail. The store did not have tiny breadsticks to skewer the tomatoes on so I improvised once again and went with a charcuterie/fondue style. Which would have been great if I could melt Mozzarella. How does one do that? Mine never melted and just stayed in a chunk. It tasted fine- just not quite what I was going for. This was called Bewitching Scepters and was inspired by the Bartimaeus Trilogy.

I am slowly working through my Wizards Cookbook. All the recipes in my opinion are highly experimental and I never know if they will turn out or if I made anything close to what the author had in mind because the directions are not great. This particular recipe is inspired by Bewtiched and called Tabitha’s Lollipops. I did improvise on this with canned beets becuase that is all the store had. I should have put this recipe on hold until I found actual beets to boil. I modified from a beet cylindar filled with goop- to a cracker with goop situation. I liked the goop which was walnuts, goat cheese and a little OJ. But I just don’t like beets very much- so I would have preferred crackers maybe. Experiment fail.

Pasta From the Lair of Magica De Spell inspired by Magica De Spell. This recipe intimidated me because I have never cooked mussels before and we did just grab cooked ones- but still it is an achievement. This cookbook is definitely helping me expand my skills and knowledge! I will say that I do like the seafood in spaghetti, but I feel like this dish is missing something. I think that I would just add some red sauce or like a butter garlic sauce. It was good, though. Do you like seafood with your pasta?

Chicken with Cherries from the Cold Lands is inspired by The Snow Queen and I will tell you that I devoured this plate. The chicken was so moist and delicious! It honestly didn’t take that long to make either.
