Sometimes refrigerant oil holds moisture and a vacuum alone won’t get you below 500 microns. In this video I show the steps of a nitrogen sweep. Its also helps to let the nitrogen sit in the line set before releasing the pressure.

New Innovair heat pump replacement. Getting this work done during the Southern California heat wave wasn’t easy. But, at least this wasn’t an attic install.
