We preordered turkey poults in February, got them in June, have fed them all summer, moved them to fresh grass every single day 🫠, and today is finally the day to get them ready for your Thanksgiving table!

We have less than 10 whole turkeys available to reserve for Thanksgiving! These will be frozen and ready for pickup from October 25 through November 22. Head to bit.ly/BOHturkey to save one for your family!

We'll also be restocking our online store with boneless skinless and bone in turkey breast, leg quarters, wings, and GROUND turkey!!! 🦃

Our first turkey harvest is coming in handy for this quick weeknight meal! I had some leftover pieces after packaging and put them in the instant pot to pressure cook, picked the meat this morning, and turned it into a fast and easy turkey hash this afternoon. Added some homemade lard biscuits and a can of peas and supper is done 🤤

Today's highly stressful farm game was called: "can I get the turkeys fed AND fence moved AND feed/water hogs AND get new little piglets delivered before this storm comes?"

✔️Challenge accepted

I hustled to get everybody fed while the thunder rolled. I ran to open and close gates while dark clouds came in. I dropped water buckets (twice 🫠 oops) and was convinced the rain was about to come. And then once the work was done, so was the "storm". So I guess I won the game, but the pastures are still so dry. Keep praying for your farmers and for rain! 🌧️

The last broiler babies for 2026 are all settled into the brooder! 🐥🐣🐥

They hatched yesterday, got put in a box on a truck in the middle of the night, and just arrived here fresh from SC! They'll spend the next 3 weeks in here, warming themselves under the brooder lamps, getting their first sips of water, finding their buffet of nonGMO feed, playing chicky games, and taking naps! What a life! 🥰

Come see us today at The Franklinton Market from 9-12! We've got eggs (very limited so get here quick!), whole chickens, dark meat cuts, ground pork & sausage, ribs, pork chops, and more! Other vendors have to-go foods, produce, raw milk, flowers, beef, canned items, and more! 💚
