Today GO! Nutrition turns 8. Boy has this been a roller coaster ride for sure. Plus starting a business in your 50’s isn’t easy at all. I remember how it all started, I would come to Austin to visit my children and grandson at the time and Austin had this feeling that something big was going to happen. Boy was I right. I had always dreamed of owning my own company but I had no clue how to start or better then that even run a business. So I started to do the research and started to manifest this company like no other. I knew exactly how I wanted the machines to look like and where I wanted them to be and the certain clients I wanted. The vision that I saw was HUGE!!!! So I started to do the research . How to get the clients and who would be a good fit. I wanted to try and change the mindsets of people all over Austin on how and what to eat to be healthy.
But I faced some serious challenges , one I had no clue what I was doing and two I was 50 years old . I mean let’s face it vending is not a job for an older woman 👩. But that didn’t stop me!!!! I was going to make this work no matter what it took and that’s exactly what I did.
I had so much faith in this company no fear at all. This was my passion to go out there and help people get healthy or at least stay healthy while working or running around with their kids. Life is always fast passed for so many and I just wanted to help out somehow. I mean I knew that first hand by easing four kids and running around with my head cut off to baseball, cheerleading, football you name it and they were always looking for a snack . Well finally GO! Got noticed and things started flowing I started getting how to run a company and it felt so good!!!
Then the pandemic hit and my little local healthy vending company took a big hit. I was devasted all my hard work. But the pandemic was a blessing because it quiet everyone down for a bit to see what was important. I am truly blessed that I have had this opportunity to run my own company. So today let’s celebrate GO! I am so grateful that I took that leap of faith 8 years ago.
