Colored Horse Ranch Breeding Quarter Horses for ranch and arena (cutting, reining and reined cow horse) in north east WY and western SD.

Our stallions and mares are cutting or reining bred (One Time Pepto, Metallic Cat, Stevie Rey Von, Boon A Little, Paddys Irish Whiskey). Home of working cow bred American Quarter Horses. Our stallions are cutting or reining bred (sons of One Time Pepto, Metallic Cat, Stevie Rey Von, Boon A Little, Paddys Irish Whiskey, Dualin Gun), the broodmares are stout ranch mares with proven Working Cow Horse

bloodlines and modern bred cutting horses by Smart Little Lena, Wild Haired Cat, CD Olena, Dual Pep and the likes. We breed very successful for strong bones, lots of cow, hardiness, athleticism, and good disposition. The foals are born and raised on two different ranches, one located at the edge of the Black Hills in north east Wyoming, the other one south of Rapid City, South Dakota. Both ranches work together raising cutting and ranch horses since 2001, and were individually breeding Quarter Horses for decades before that. "Colored Horse Ranch" combines the breeding programs of these two ranches on one site.

A step into the past ... this is the only yearling we have available. His original buyer was unable to pick him up due to unforeseen circumstances.
We have not listed him back for sale because we didn't have any recent pictures - now here he is. I tried to take a video, but nothing can spook him to get moving. He should mature about 14.2 hands, bred to work a cow or hit the trails.
He is located in Rapid City, SD, $3800 takes him home.

Stallions Smart Shiny N Rugged and Heza Blu WranglerDRR are more than ready for breeding season! They spend the winter together on pasture, but Smarty thinks that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, and after we had to bring him back twice, he went to jail together with his buddy. This stud can run, we clocked him at almost 40mph when we tried to get him back!

At least we have 4 perfectly straight legs, Sweet Cinnamon Rey is proud of her daughter by Copperhead (Once In A Blu Boon), and rightly so!

She is by Copperhead (Once In A Blu Boon) out of Plenty High Chances, a daughter of our Metallic Cat son Metallic Mist. This filly should get quite a bit of size to her, ropers - look out!
