Black Business Month is observed each August in the U.S. It’s a time to recognize, celebrate, and support Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs, while also drawing attention to the economic opportunities and barriers Black business owners face.

This month, we're also highlighting some of our Inclusive Trade products that are owned by Black vendors.

Congrats to Hidden Springs Creamery on their recent awards at the American Cheese Society 2026 Cheese Competition! 🧀

More than 1,500 cheeses were entered across 120+ categories. Hidden Springs' 100% sheep's milk Driftless Honey Lavender took 1st place in the Sheep Cheese with Flavor Added category, while their 100% sheep's milk Driftless Cranberry Cinnamon earned 2nd place.

And congratulations to the many other Wisconsin cheesemakers recognized at this year's competition. Stop by the Co-op to discover these award-winning Wisconsin cheeses!

The Board of Directors plays a critical role in supporting the continued success and long-term health of the Co-op. They represent all Owners in setting standards for the Co-op’s performance. We are seeking Board candidates from diverse backgrounds for this year’s three open seats. Applications are due by 11:59pm on August 27.

Earlier today we had posted that we would be opening later due to the process of reopening the Baldwin and Williamson Street intersection. We've decided to remain closed today (Tuesday, Aug. 4). We plan to reopen tomorrow at 7:30am.
