Guineas are hatching today!!! They'll be royal purple, lavender, white, or any mix of those. $5/each but if you take all of them I'll make you a deal. Since they're still hatching I don't know how many there will be but I'll update once they're done. I will have more hatching in another week or so.

Also 2.5 dozen guinea eggs are available $15/doz

Hey friends. This young guy showed up at a friend's place and he is urgently needing a home. He patiently sat outside the fence, hoping to get to become part of their fur family but he needs his own. He's super sweet, not aggressive at all. Looks to be young, neutered, and needing some groceries. Please share and let's get this guy a bed of his own!

Sometimes life throws you curveballs. And sometimes it skips the pitcher entirely and hurls baseball-sized hail. So… we’re making lemonade.

We were on five acres, and I had just figured out the balance between grass and livestock. Everything was finally clicking. I was one tweak away from a solid plan.

Then the drama hit...like your boot stuck in train tracks and you hear the whistle.

I sold my sheep and half my chickens as a sacrifice to the storm. I let go of my two bigger cattle to make room for smaller frames. I kept thinking, okay, this is it, this is the worst of it.

Nope. The storm doubled down.

And then… it stopped.

Out of nowhere, this wild, amazing, absolutely terrifying opportunity basically fell into our laps. So we did the only reasonable thing. We ran...and jumped straight off the cliff without a safety net.

That was April. It would be October before we could move.

In the meantime, no fencing meant the cattle had to go. Again. I fed those two everything I could. They were lean, but they made it to the processor. Not the ending I pictured, but not the worst one either.

Fast forward two years into this new adventure…

There’s still trash to clean up.
The house still needs work (a lot of it).
The fences? Still on the list.

But you know what’s not here anymore?

Drama.
Stress.
Sickness.

We’ve come a hell of a long way. And yeah, there’s still a mountain left to climb. But I’m here for it.

So when life hands you lemons…skip the lemonade.

Make the damn margarita.

Reggie's second time on goats. My first actually doing something besides watching. He really just wanted to chase and give them a drive-by chomp chomp. And it's hard to see what he's doing, while walking through goats, and anticipate his next move. His help is definitely going to be beneficial when we have to start moving cattle. Laura has been amazing helping me get started with it all. Together, we got this!
