Today I went on a day-long agricultural tour today with the
Farm Credit of the Virginias, who work to provide a reliable source of credit for rural communities, to hear from #VA10 farmers and small business owners about policies and issues that are important to them.
We kicked off our day at Fabbioli Cellars where Doug told us about how he’s bringing the community together to teach tomorrow’s farmers how to successfully run a farm and be responsible stewards of the land at The New Ag School. Doug emphasized the importance of collaboration in the agricultural community--supporting other small farmers helps create a stronger agricultural region for everyone.
Our second stop was at Long Stone Farm, owned by Casey and Justin. Casey was kind enough to give us a tour of the farm. Casey and Justin produce high quality meats (pastured beef and pork) and eggs for Loudoun County and the surrounding area. Casey discussed the challenges and successes she's faced navigating the local agricultural economy as a small farm. 🐮🐷
Our third and final stop of the day was at Code Four Show Stables. Tiffany spoke with us about why she chose Loudoun County to start her business, where she and her husband run a state-of-the-art facility to train horses, and the success she's seen since then. 🐎

Agritourism played a role at every farm we visited. Whether it's the wine tasting offered at Fabbioli Cellars or Long Stone Farm's "Sunday Supper on the Farm."
As my bipartisan Agritourism Caucus kicks off, I look forward to supporting #VA10's burgeoning agritourism industry!
#HamptonClassic. As we wrap up a very busy week, we wanted to take a moment to extend our sincere appreciation to all the individuals that helped make this possible. Many thanks to our Board of Directors, volunteers, staff, and our supporters including Centennial Bank, Boy-O-Boy Bridleworks, MADE HERE NEW YORK, Code Four Show Stables, and Sarah Maslin Nir. A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to all of our riders and their families and our sincere love and appreciation to the amazing horses - without them none of this would have been possible.

Beginner Independent Division:
Kylie - three 1st place ribbons (she took Grand Champion)
Sheridan - two 2nd place and one 3rd (she took Reserve Champion)
Charlotte - two 3rd place and one 2nd
Leadwalker/Sidewalker Division:
Afiya - two 4th place, one 5th
Xavier - one 6th
Jariel - one 6th
