Candied Jalapeños 🌶️🔥
Candied Jalapeños are a farm favorite around here. We keep a stash on hand year-round because they have a magical way of making just about everything better.
Salads? Yep.
Bowls? Absolutely.
Sandwiches? 100%.
Eating them straight from the jar? I’m not here to judge.
We keep our cowboy candy simple. No extra spices, no complicated ingredient list. Just lots of sweet + lots of heat. Exactly how we like it.
Here’s how we make ours:
🫙 Clean and prep your jars.
🌶️ Slice your jalapeños and pack them into each jar as tightly as possible.
Bring to a boil:
* 4 cups white sugar
* 2 cups brown sugar
* 2 cups water
Pour the hot syrup into each jar, stopping at the base of the threads.
Wipe the rims, add your lids, and tighten finger-tight.
Process according to your preferred safe canning method. I steam-can ours for 15 minutes in 8-ounce jars.
This recipe makes approximately 16 eight-ounce jars.
Sweet enough to keep you coming back for another bite. Hot enough to remind you that you meant business. 😉
