Just a little update: 🚨

We were officially declared a disaster area from hurricane Helene. And then just last week we had between 13-16 inches of rain overnight and flooded. We lost all of our grafted trees, greenhouses ,one orchard, and hay barn during the hurricane . The shanty(cookhouse) also took a hit during the storm and had two trees completely damage the roof. Adjusters came out and confirmed everything . And now we will be rebuilding and figuring out the next steps for our farm. If I get any updates from my brother, I will be sure to post them .Thanks to all of you for reaching out and checking on us.❤️

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us in the last few weeks! We’re so grateful for all of you . We did have trees fall on the shanty where our juice and jelly are made. We also had several trees up rooted, green houses completely gone with all of the seedlings , and most of our grafted trees are a complete loss. It will take time to recover, but we will keep you updated on our progress in the coming weeks and months.

We send our heartfelt thoughts & prayers to everyone impacted by Hurricane Milton (Florida) & Hurricane Helene (Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia). Our hearts break for the lives lost & the lives overcome by grief. 🔥

First time getting signal since Thursday!
We took a direct hit with Helene for hours and with extreme wind warnings for over two hours. Our town is a disaster zone. But we’re all safe! Will post pics when I can!

🙏

We are thinking of all farmers and producers in south Georgia who are trying to prepare for the hurricane that is predicted to make landfall later this week. We know this is a busy time to have to prep for these weather conditions on top of the added pressures of making hard decisions related to harvest.

Feels like August 2023 all over again… 🙏
