LONG-WINDED FOOD REVIEWS WITH MY HUSBAND PART 3 😂 BTS

This is what the behind-the-scenes conversations sound like after we try food together. We will debate EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, but honestly, I love it.

Taste is definitely subjective, and one of my favorite parts about reviewing food with my husband is that we don’t always have to agree. We can talk about what we tasted, what stood out, what we liked, and WHY we feel the way we feel.

Sometimes the conversation after the food is just as good as the food itself. 😂

So after trying Etch-chen Rafael Kutch , the final question was:

If you HAD to choose only ONE, which one would you choose? 👀🥟

And yes… we both picked one! 😂

LONG-WINDED FOOD REVIEWS WITH MY HUSBAND 😂 PART 2

We’re back, and this time we’re talking about the Beef Ilocos Empanada! 🥟

First of all… you can literally SMELL the flavor before you even take a bite!

What we really loved was that the seasoning on the beef was completely different from the chicken. It wasn’t just the same empanada with a different protein, it had its own flavor, its own seasoning and its own personality!

The beef was super flavorful, hearty and FILLING. This is definitely one of those empanadas that feels like a whole meal.

And can we talk about that shredded green papaya?! That texture inside the crispy shell with the seasoned beef just brings everything together. If you’ve never had an Ilocos Empanada with green papaya, you need to experience it!

Of course, my husband had PLENTY more to say because apparently we don’t know how to make a 30 second food review. 😂

LONG-WINDED FOOD REVIEWS WITH MY HUSBAND 😂 PART 1

When you have a 10 minute food review and somehow cutting it into THREE videos still doesn’t make them short enough for today’s attention spans. 😂

If you know my husband, you KNOW he’s a talker! But our review of Etch-chen Rafael Kutch was too good for me to chop down to 30 seconds, so y’all are just going to have to watch Part 1 all the way through. 😂

We got to try some of Gretchen’s NEW Ilocos Empanada flavors:

🥟 Chicken Ilocos Empanada
🥟 NEW Longganisa, Chicken & Cheese Empanada
🥟 Beef Ilocos Empanada

We BOTH loved the chicken! But that one with the CHEESE?! Adding cheese brought a whole new level to that already delicious Ilocos flavor. 🤤

And the beef?! So good! Super hearty, packed with filling and full of flavor.

And trust me… we had PLENTY more to say. 😂

Trying Chef شريف Shareef , a private chef and caterer serving up some serious comfort food in the 707! 🍗🔥

We tried his soul food plate and went half traditional chicken and half hot honey because why choose just one?! 😮‍💨 Our plate came loaded with mac & cheese, yams, greens, and cornbread.

And here’s the catch, his menu changes EVERY WEEK, so if you’re not following him, you might miss the next drop! 👀

Word on the street is that VIRAL SALMON might be coming next… 👀🔥 and if the rumors are true, you already know we gotta pull up and try it!

PART 2: Let’s head upstairs at Vino Godfather! 🍷

The second floor has SO much space to relax, walk around and take in all the history and character of this beautiful building.

And of course, we had to check out all the MANY bathrooms! 😂 Believe it or not, they’re all still working and in great condition.

Then there’s the back patio, where so many parties, celebrations and special moments happen. We’ve celebrated birthdays and some of our family’s biggest milestones right here at Vino Godfather.

But we’ll save the patio for another reel because you’ll be seeing a lot more of that VERY soon. 👀🍷

OAKLAND FLAVORS POPPING UP IN VALLEJO!

We finally got to try Cambodian Eggrolls an Oakland based business that popped up right here in Vallejo!

We grabbed their combo fried chicken plate and all 3 Cambodian egg roll flavors: pork, chicken and shrimp.

That fried chicken was PERFECT! Crispy enough for my picky self, but not too fried for my husband. Literally the perfect medium for both of us.

And those egg rolls?! So freaking GOOD! Crispy, flavorful and we enjoyed ALL three flavors.

But that Crack SAUCE?! We poured that sauce all over the rice and KILLED IT! Not a drop was going to waste.

They definitely know what they’re doing! Make sure you follow Cambodian Egg Rolls and check out where they’ll be popping up next. If you see them in your city, GO TRY THEM!

🥐 BIG BITES IN THE BAY: PART 3!

Listen… I LOVE me some co**has, so when we came across Conchitas.World out of Richmond, CA and saw STUFFED flavored co**has, I already knew we had to try them! 😂🔥

What I love even more is that their co**has come from another local small business, Erika A small business supporting another small business?! We LOVE to see it! 👏🏽❤️ Full circle!

And get this… Conchitas World are the FIRST sellers of the exclusive Tres Leches Conchitas in Richmond! 🤤🥐🥛

Aidan Hymowitz - REALTOR® and I LOVED the co**has we tried, and honestly, I’ve been thinking about them ever since. 😂

I’m gonna have to take a trip over that bridge to Richmond because I NEED another stuffed flavored co**ha!
