- Raised on a 1500 acre cattle and sheep ranch in Santa Ysabel where most days were spent in the saddle bringing in the stock. Always with my animals. Many nights spent with th
e animals during calving, lambing, kidding, and farrowing season.
- Started showing horses at 5 years old
- Showed cattle and sheep in 4H and FFA for 10 years
- Member of Large Animal Technical Rescue Team and Water Team
- Member of Emergency Response Team (experience responding to several local fires since 2008 and the Camp Fire 2018)
- Deployments: Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Florence
- 6 years as a Humane Officer - dealt with all types of behaviors and breeds of dogs, cats, and many other animals.
- Certified in Pet CPR
- Teach livestock and horse husbandry for 10 years
- Teach Emergency Response Team livestock handling in emergency situations
- Certified at Colorado State University Equine Academy
- Coached San Marcos High School horse judging team 2002-2004
