This isn’t a normal morning… because these two actually want attention. 😂🫏

They’re still skeptical, of course. Can’t make it too easy. Apparently accepting affection without making us earn it would be completely against donkey policy. 😂

But we’ll take it and enjoy it while it lasts. ❤️
Because tonight, these two will run away from us like we’re people they’ve never met before. 😂

Donkey love comes with conditions, apparently. 🫏❤️

Did You Know?

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that Miniature Herefords are a crossbreed. They're not! They're 100% purebred Herefords, selectively bred over generations to maintain a smaller frame while keeping the traits that have made Herefords one of the most respected beef breeds.

Here at Tilly's Farm, our cattle are AHA Registered, DNA Verified, and free of the dwarf gene.

One of the things we love most about this breed is their temperament. They're known for being calm, gentle, and easy to work with. While every cow has its own personality, Miniature Herefords are a great fit for first-time cattle owners, families, and experienced cattlemen alike.

Another fun fact—Miniature Herefords can be horned or naturally polled (born without horns). Both are 100% purebred Herefords, and we have both here on the farm.

And then there's the beef. The flavor, tenderness, and marbling are simply incredible. We may be a little biased, but it's some of the best beef we've ever had, and it's one of the biggest reasons we fell in love with this breed.

Emus love water. And when its hot they love to be soaked down.

Ours try to catch the water as it comes out. If we actually turn the hose on I feel l like they will drown.

Today was hot! Every animal on the farm was feeling it. The ducks had the best day, swimming in cool, fresh water in the shade and chasing frozen peas while they splashed and played.

Our evening ritual was a little different tonight. After their spa day while everyone else was sweating, they were still kind enough to come find me as I was cleaning up for the evening to remind me they hadn't had dinner yet. They never let me forget!
