🇨🇦 Thank You, Vancouver! 🍩

We would like to sincerely thank everyone for the incredible support over the past few days.

Every day, we have been welcoming lines of over 100 people, and we are truly grateful for the warm reception.

At the same time, we are very sorry to those who came to visit but were unable to purchase donuts because we sold out.

Our team starts making donuts every morning at 5:00 AM, carefully handcrafting each one from scratch.
Currently, we produce around 1,500 donuts a day, which is the maximum we can make while maintaining the quality we believe in.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

⚠️ Important Notice

At the moment, the business hours shown on Google are incorrect.

Our actual opening time is 11:00 AM, not 3:00 PM.

We are currently working with Google to correct this issue, but the update has not yet been reflected.

Our regular business hours are:
🕚 Open: 11:00 AM
🕖 Close: 7:00 PM

However, because all of our donuts are handmade fresh every day, we will close once we are sold out.

We truly appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.

Thank you again, Vancouver.
We can’t wait to continue sharing Japanese “Nama Donut” with all of you. 🍩✨

🍩 A Thank You from TRUFFLE DONUT Vancouver 🍩

Yesterday was our very first day in Vancouver, and we were truly overwhelmed by the incredible support from our community.

Our team begins making donuts very early every morning at 4:30 am and every TRUFFLE DONUT is handmade fresh with great care.

Because quality is always our highest priority, there is naturally a limit to how many donuts we can produce each day. We know some guests waited in line and were unable to purchase donuts, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment.

To give as many guests as possible the opportunity to enjoy TRUFFLE DONUT during our opening period, we may adjust purchase limits throughout the day based on availability. We appreciate your understanding as we work to serve more customers while maintaining the quality that makes our donuts special.

We are continuously improving our operations and increasing production wherever possible, while staying true to our commitment to freshness and quality.

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding. We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome Vancouver has given us, and we look forward to serving even more guests in the days ahead.

The faces behind the flour. 🌾✈️🇯🇵

Before they boarded their flight back to Japan today, we took our Brand CEO and Technical Director for a quick stroll around Granville Island to soak in that beautiful Vancouver sun and local spirit. 🇨🇦☀️

For the past 10 days, this incredible team has been living in our kitchen—meticulously calibrating, testing, and fine-tuning every single detail to ensure our Nama Donuts (生甜甜圈) are nothing short of perfection.

What we are bringing to Vancouver:
☁️ The Cloud Texture: A revolutionary dough process that creates an impossibly light, airy, and ”melt-in-your-mouth“ experience. It’s a complete rethink of what a donut can be.

They’ve officially handed off the torch, and we are proud to say: the authentic, god-tier flavor of Japanese Nama Donuts has officially landed in YVR. 🏆🏆

We are currently in the final stages of kitchen prep and final touches. The countdown to our Soft Opening begins now.

Ever dreamed of biting into a donut so light, airy, and soft it literally melts in your mouth? Your cravings are about to be answered.
We’ve teamed up with an expert technical team straight from Japan to bring you the ultimate, authentic Nama Donut (生甜甜圈) experience—100% replicated right here in Vancouver!
What makes a ”Nama Donut“ so legendary?
✨ The Melt-In-Your-Mouth Texture: Unlike traditional donuts, our special formulation creates a signature ”half-baked“, ultra-moist, and pillowy interior.
☁️ The ”Fuwafuwa“ Cloud Effect: Incredibly light and fluffy, packed with delicate air pockets. It’s like taking a bite out of a sweet cloud.
🥛 Premium Craftsmanship: Made with high-quality ingredients and artisanal Japanese techniques, then stuffed with decadent, silky fillings like fresh Strawberry, Uji Matcha, rich Chocolate, and classic Custard.
👩‍🍳 Made Fresh Daily: No overnight batches. Ever.
We are currently putting the finishing touches on our kitchen and custom packaging. We can’t wait to welcome you for our Soft Opening very soon! 🍩✨

The team from Japan has now been in Vancouver for 7 days.

For the past week, we’ve been testing nonstop — meetings, notes, flour experiments, fermentation adjustments, and countless batches every single day.

What seemed simple at first turned out to be incredibly difficult.

Canadian ingredients behave very differently from Japanese ones, especially the flour.

Even tiny differences completely change the texture of the final donut.

There were so many moments where we thought:“Okay… this should be it.”

But the team would take one bite and quietly say:“Not yet.”

Until today.

For the first time, we finally recreated a texture that feels incredibly close to the original shop in Japan.

And honestly, now we understand why Japanese fresh donuts are so addictive.

They’re nothing like the traditional North American style donuts.

Not heavy.Not overly sweet.

Just unbelievably light, soft, and airy.

Almost cloud-like.

The kind of texture that makes you pause after the first bite.

7 days later, we’re finally getting closer 🍩☁️

Another long day in the shop with the team from Japan 🇯🇵🍩

For the past few days, we’ve been testing different flour options here in Canada, trying to recreate the exact texture of a true Japanese fresh donut.

And honestly… it’s been much harder than expected.

Canadian flour behaves very differently from Japanese flour — absorption, fermentation, structure, softness… even the smallest difference changes the final result completely.

That’s because Japanese fresh donuts are nothing like the classic North American style donuts.

They’re lighter. Softer. More delicate.

The kind of texture that makes you pause after the first bite.

Almost cloud-like.

Watching the team obsess over every tiny detail has been eye-opening.

Still testing. Still adjusting. Still chasing that perfect softness.

Coming soon to Vancouver 🍩

One of the biggest challenges so far? Flour.

Over the past few days, the team from Japan has been testing different local flour options here in Vancouver — and the differences have been much bigger than expected.

Texture, absorption, fermentation, structure… even small changes can completely affect the final donut.

What works perfectly in Japan doesn’t automatically work the same way in Canada.

That’s why every ingredient and every process has to be tested again from the beginning.

It’s honestly been eye-opening to see how much precision goes into creating a true Japanese fresh donut.

Still testing. Still adjusting. Still chasing the right texture 🍩

The team from Japan has officially arrived in Vancouver 🇯🇵🇨🇦

Over the next few days, we’ll begin testing everything locally — equipment, flour, milk, water, fermentation, temperature, humidity… every detail matters.

What works perfectly in Japan doesn’t automatically work the same way in Canada.

Before training even begins, every ingredient and process needs to be adjusted and tested carefully to recreate the texture and experience of a true Japanese fresh donut.

This is where the real journey starts.

More behind-the-scenes coming soon 🍩

Japanese Nama Donut

First bite… and then a pause.

Not because it’s too much —
but because it’s not what you expect.

Light, soft, and almost melts away,
with matcha that slowly comes through.

You’ll probably go back for a second bite
just to be sure.

Something new is coming. 👀
