You know it's canning season when the big spoon comes out and my eyes get squinty from all the onions 🥲

Today is tomato soup. A family favorite that is very much like a spaghetti o's base and takes us back to childhood.

From Logs to Lean-to in 76 seconds.

8hrs of work, $80 in hardware and one step closer to totally evicting the goats from the main barn.

10 hrs from logs to lean-to hay/milking shed. Its not done yet but it's at least ready to use.

W**d control is on a mission 🌿

Most people ask if the goats mow my lawn for me. But most don't realize that goats actually like to browse. They like tall weedy areas, often reaching up to get leaves from trees.

They are great for helping to clear brush like areas but they aren't necessarily going to keep your lawn mowed.

Often we let the goats out in controlled groups so that they can get to the weeds we don't want and give them an opportunity to get out of the pasture and explore some new areas and vegetation.

No one informed us on the amount of wood that will be needed to build a 1st generation farm from the ground up. We haven't even started stock piling for the wood burner so as not to freeze through winter yet.
