It’s been a minute and the crowd following Crooked B Farm has gotten a lot bigger! So I think it’s time to reintroduce myself, and what Crooked B Farm is all about!
My name is Jessica Bleese, and I along with my husband Isaiah and our 5 kids live on Isaiah’s family farmstead just outside of Verona ND! Our lives are full of cows, chickens, a large garden, grandparents, friends, learning all the time in all the ways, and I think most importantly Jesus, and His Church!
I have always loved “The Makers Way”, and have through the years totally enjoyed making things for my family and friends to enjoy. We as a family value the natural wholistic treasures that God has given us through His created world, and are always looking to utilize creatively the gifts He has given us!
A couple of years ago, our family went through a really challenging transition period that ended with us settling gratefully onto the Bleese farmstead. Very shortly after this, Crooked B Farm was launched, for the purpose of sharing with the local world all the things we make, raise, and gather with our own hands. “Homegrown and Handmade” is our slogan, and it defines our operation perfectly.
Our products are always handmade, with as much homegrown, organic aspects as possible used! We do our best to source our supplies ecologically, with much care and research going into avoiding the use of mistreated peoples to make available a finished product. We don’t believe in making a personal profit using the oppression and mistreatment of any other person or people group.
We also love the fact that we are able to invite our kids to participate with us in this amazingly fun endeavor! It is so exciting to see what ideas they come up with, and to watch strong characters grow as they work hard to bring their ideas into reality.
So that is Crooked B Farm in a rather large nutshell! We so love it that so many of you think our operation is worth while, and are willing to support us! It has been such a wild ride stepping out, taking a chance, and finding you in the middle of it all, supporting our little family farm! Thank you!
