Just want to say thanks to all who have supported us this year. The summer season is coming to the end.
We still have spaghetti squash, butternut squash, and some red onions left.
We also have been taking orders for okra while it lasts. The okra production has really started to slow.
Also have been trying to get the field in shape for the fall garden. The rains have been hindering that process.
The rains this past year have really challenged us.
We lost the bulk of our cantaloupe to rot, tomatoes cracked, purple hull peas were ready and it was too wet to get to them, sweet corn couldn’t be picked like it should, pickling cucumbers didn’t get picked as needed, and the grass and weeds covered the watermelons.
I do see some things I can improve on for next year.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can have plenty of cantaloupe available and some seedless watermelon that were developed here on the farm.
Check with us around the first of October for what we will have available in the fall garden.
Thanks Again
