One of the hardest parts of owning livestock is that there will inevitably be deadstock. One of my four breeding does evidently had a bit of an attitude at some point yesterday, as I came home to her having paralyzed one of her three-week-old kits. I immediately did a mercy culling and can only hope that it hadn't been long before I got back home. Kilo will be getting a month or two rest before we try to breed her again. Hopefully she is more successful with her second litter with us, as I maintain a strict 3 strike policy on all breeding stock. On a happier note, here's a picture I snagged last week of Ms Fancy and her litter sunbathing while their hutch was being cleaned.
