It has just come to my attention that our email isn’t working and likely hasn’t been for a few weeks. Apologies to anyone who has reached out to us via email and have not received a reply. That is not our style at all and I’m beyond mortified that I haven’t been receiving emails sent to [email protected]. We have a newsletter coming out on May 1st which will go into specifics, but I wanted to take a moment to inform everyone on where we are with chicks right now. It’s been an insane start to chick season with high demand, limited supply & less than ideal hatch rates in our incubators. We have chicks hatching weekly, but some of our very popular breeds for pre-order have not had the hatch rates we were hoping for. That being said, pre-order is now closed so we don’t get too swamped. We currently have a steady supply of Buff Orpington & Barred Rock chicks with a group of Barred Rocks coming off heat in about 2 weeks & Buff Orpingtons a week behind that. If you pre-ordered, we are working as fast as we can with Momma Nature to get your orders filled, but we are currently a bit behind due to the aforementioned hatch rates. Couldn’t make it out to the farm on Easter to pick up chicks? It’s ok, we are open for pick-ups all day tomorrow 8am-6pm. We currently have Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons and a very small qty of Lavender Orpingtons all 1-2 weeks old and some barnyard mix chicks that hatched today! Straight run, but we do take back roos. Message or text to set up a pick-up appointment.

**We also have ducklings! Indian runners, Khaki Campbell and Khaki/Cayuga mix. Straight run

Available this weekend: Buff Orpington and Barred Rock. These chicks are straight run but we will take back any roosters that you may get and can’t keep. Open on Easter 8am-6pm. Saturday after 6pm. Send us a message if you would like to schedule a pick-up!

Its just warm enough that I feel comfortable getting the duckies outside for a bit. Decided to merge the two flocks. They are about 2 weeks apart in age and everyone seems to be getting along great!

What a successful duck hatch this weekend! 17 little duckies made it out of 18 eggs!!! 10 Indian Runners, a couple Khaki Campbells and some of our barnyard mix

While we did sell out of chicks again this weekend, we managed to connect with another local breeder and expect to have some more Barred Rock and Buff Orpington chicks available next weekend. And on Sunday our Lavender Orpingtons, Black Australorps and more Buff Orpingtons are scheduled to hatch!

From here on out, chicks will be sold as straight run only and pullets are only guaranteed as “off heat” purchases. Regardless of what you order, we will happily take back any roosters you may end up with, but swaps and/or refunds are only available if you order “off heat” pullets.
