Our goals are not impossible but will be putting us to the task. We got three warm bodys and:
1) a 1 acre garden between the upper and lower garden that needs weeding, sowing, mulching and laying black fabric down between the rows.
2) We have goat hooves to trim today. With the help of some friends from Rocking B today.
3) Need to freshen the oinkers sleeping quarters.
4) Need to strip/clean chicken coop and put in new nesting crates that have to be anchored to the wall.
5)Need to see if we can get power to the shop so we can use our 30 mile charger and move the solar 10 mile to the garden ( we have a brazen doe). This task will take the longest.
Any advice on how to prioritize this is welcome as I do have 2 days before going into work on Friday so I need it to be done by then.
Will let you know what gets done today.

Got off work went and got my scales for the market. Made arrangements to get some Tef hay this afternoon. Had to go by Walmart to get a booster seat for Lilly so she could go with us to get hay. While at Walmart found the file size milkcrates for $3.77 each and bought 10 of them.
For those that know me know know I drive a Fiat 500 Abarth and love it completely. However I will say that this afternoon I put her through her packing capacity today and she pulled it off again..
We got everything accomplished today and feel good about it.
Side note I did a last hoorah for summer veggies and planted cukes, okra, tomatoes, basil, butternut squash, corn, acorn squash, contender beans, Kentucky beans, yellow squash and zucchini last Wednesday. Low and behold they are all coming up 🤗. Couldn't be happier.
Farm life is not an easy life but it's a rewarding life.

What do you do when you have a limited number of days before your first frost projection? You have late summer crops and early fall crops to plant or sow? Its pouring down rain on your slim line of time? Well I'll answer all those questions. You still plant! You go out in the dark, cold pouring rain and plant until 11:30 at night. Sleep like a log and get up and plant in rain again and try to dry off and warm up on short breaks. Mother nature is a friend only if you play her game.
